 This week we have wrapped up our unit on bears.  We have read three different versions of the “The Three Little Bears” and talked about the similarities and differences of each.  We also made a list of the characters in each book.  During small group we made bears out of model magic clay to put in our caves, we also drew our favorite characters from the book.  We also got the bear counters out and put them in different orders such as small to large, and large to small and talked about the differences. 

This week we have also began doing different Valentine’s activities such as reading the story “Valentine’s Day Grump” and estimated how many marshmallows would fit on our heart papers.  We also made Valentines cards.

***Reminders***

-  It’s not to late for a Parent/Teacher conference.  If you would like to conference, please give me a call after 1:00pm here at school. 

-Ice cream Friday will be February 17, 2012.  If you haven’t sent $.50 already, please do so.

-We will have our Valentine’s Party on February 14 @ 12:00.  We will pass out Valentine’s cards that morning, please leave the TO: _________ part blank on the cards, this will make them easier for the students to pass out. 

- There will be no school Monday, February 20.
